In teaching this class for twenty-nine years I have found that it is an essential part of any Jewish adult education program and frequently a starting point for long-lasting friendships. It is designed for those considering the possibility of conversion to Judaism as well as for those who feel their earlier exposure to content and practice aspects of Judaism lacked completion or meaning. The course will give you an opportunity to expand your knowledge of Jewish life and living by providing the information needed to function as a well-educated Jewish adult. Its format as a survey course of Jewish practice and belief can be a tremendous building block for our ever-evolving Jewish lives. While this course is not for everyone, it is highly recommended for couples that do not come from the same religious background, whether or not conversion is being considered.
