Redevelopment Agency. Redevelopment is one of Fresno's most effective ways to breathe new life into deteriorated and blighted areas plagued by a variety of social, physical, environmental, and economic conditions which act as a barrier to new investment by private enterprise. Redevelopment, under the California Community Redevelopment Law, is one of the last available processes which has the authority, scope, and financial means to provide the necessary stimulus to reverse deteriorating trends, remedy blight, and create a new image for communities.
