Dennis, entrepreneur and top Mercedes Benz mechanic, began importing Japanese diesel engines so that vehicles could be repowered to take advantage of the availability and fuel economy of diesel engines. The Japanese people view their automotive and industrial equipment market very different than Americans do. Americans tend to keep automobiles and equipment just as long as they can, squeezing out all available life. In Japan, the longer you own it, the higher the fees and taxes paid to keep the unit. The Japanese person replaces the equipment in five to seven years. By our standards, very LOW use and mileage! |
